Skip Bayless wrongly convinced Shannon Sharpe to go along with his Mikal/Miles Bridges mixup

So embarrassing.

If you’re looking for compelling conversation about the NBA, Undisputed with Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe on FS1 is generally not the best place to turn to. We saw exactly why on Thursday.

Bayless took a short break from obsessively criticizing LeBron James to discuss Kevin Durant trade scenarios in Thursday’s telecast. And when the Phoenix Suns came up in the conversation, Bayless had no idea that Mikal Bridges — the second-place vote getter for DPOY — played for the Suns.

Bayless was convinced that the Suns forward was Miles Bridges (Miles plays for Charlotte and is facing felony domestic violence charges) and not Mikal. Like, Bayless was so certain that he interrupted Sharpe to correct him about the Mikal/Miles confusion … except Bayless was wrong the whole time.

Mistakes happen, and people misspeak on live television. But this wasn’t that situation. This was Bayless not knowing the subject matter and convincing his colleague to go along with the mistake. You can see Sharpe’s confusion, but Bayless’ confidence seemed to be enough to have Sharpe doubting himself. Don’t do that, Shannon. It’s best to always assume that Skip Bayless is wrong.

NBA fans couldn’t look away from the cringeworthy exchange.
