Sixers, StubHub announce season ticket refund policy amid pandemic

The Philadelphia 76ers have announced their season ticket refund policy.

The 2019-20 season is currently on hold due to the global coronavirus pandemic and there is no guarantee that the regular season will even resume whenever basketball does return. In light of that scenario, the Philadelphia 76ers, as well as StubHub, are announcing their refund policy for season tickets purchased for the season.

According to the Inquirer.com’s Keith Pompey, the Sixers have announced that any tickets purchased during the season can roll over to the 2020-21 season or they can request a refund. This offers fans the opportunity to keep their tickets and have a guarantee of seats for next season or to just get their money back.

StubHub, on the other hand, has a policy that anyone who purchased tickets through their site that they must wait until the official cancellation announcement of the season before they can request a refund of any kind.

To StubHub’s policy, there probably will be no regular-season games to finish up the season. The NBA will most likely just scrap those games and go straight to the playoffs whether that will be in Orlando at Disney World or on The Strip in Las Vegas. [lawrence-related id=30466,30460,30447]
