The Philadelphia 76ers squeaked in another trade before the 3 p.m. EST trade deadline. After acquiring Buddy Hield from the Indiana Pacers and sending Danuel House Jr. to the Detroit Pistons and Patrick Beverley to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Sixers made a final move.
The Sixers sent young Jaden Springer to the Boston Celtics in exchange for a second-round pick. A former No. 28 overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft, Springer averaged 3.4 points and 1.5 rebounds to go along with 0.6 steals with the Sixers.
It’s a little surprising to see the Sixers move Springer considering his elite defensive work. He was fantastic against Luka Doncic and Stephen Curry in Philadelphia’s two previous games.

Springer will certainly be a solid player in this league. The Celtics will continue to develop him into a legitimate rotation player. He is a solid offensive game away from being that guy in the NBA.
