Alabama’s 2024 softball season gets underway with a game against Villanova at the Buzz Classing in Atlanta. Patrick Murphy returns for another season as head coach and expectations remain high.
The Crimson Tide will open the 2024 season ranked No. 14, which make Alabama the third-highest-ranked SEC team (fifth if you include soon-to-be-added Texas and Oklahoma).
In 2023, the Tide finished the season with an overall record of 45-22 with an in-conference record of a somewhat disappointing 14-10. Alabama lost both games it played at the Women’s College World Series.
