Sixers player grades: Shorthanded group battles, but fall to Bucks

The shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers battled hard, but they come up short to the Milwaukee Bucks at home.

The Philadelphia 76ers are still working through playing extremely shorthanded while missing Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, and Matisse Thybulle due to the protocols and then they lost Seth Curry to injury. As they welcomed the defending champion, Milwaukee Bucks, in on Tuesday, that made life much tougher for them.

Give the Sixers a ton of credit. They battled hard all night long despite starting two second-year players and coach Doc Rivers got creative with a lot of lineups, but it really just was not enough at the end of the day. The Bucks were able to prevail by a score of 118-109 as they received a big lift from Grayson Allen who knocked down a ton of big shots.

The Sixers were led by Tyrese Maxey who played well and led Philadelphia with 31 points, Georges Niang hopped off the bench and had 21 points, Shake Milton added 20 and six assists, and Andre Drummond had 17 and 20 rebounds. Paul Reed had six and six rebounds in another start with the team missing so many players. Danny Green added nine off the bench.
