The Philadelphia 76ers were looking to complete a quick sweep of this two-game road trip, but on a night where things did not go well for them on either end of the floor, they were not able to overcome the New York Knicks in a 112-99 loss on the road. The Sixers had won 15 games in a row over the Knicks entering Tuesday. New York outscored Philadelphia 39-16 in the second quarter.
Joel Embiid, especially, could not get going as he shot 0-for-5 in the first half and he shot 2-for-7 from the floor overall. He did get to the free-throw line which is something that he normally leans on when he needs it on the offensive end and he did a solid job of passing out of the double teams early. He finished with 14 points and five rebounds with three assists.
Tobias Harris finished with 23 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists to lead Philadelphia, Danny Green scored 12 points, and Andre Drummond hopped off the bench to have six points and nine rebounds. Georges Niang gave 13 points and three rebounds while Furkan Korkmaz added nine points off the bench as well.
