Sixers player grades: Another frustrating night in loss to shorthanded Nets

It was another tough night for the Philadelphia 76ers as they fall to the Brooklyn Nets on the road.

The Philadelphia 76ers have certainly had an up and down season as they continue to try and find their groove amid a lot of COVID and injury issues, but they are still keeping their head above water until things can begin to turn around for them. A matchup with the shorthanded Brooklyn Nets on Thursday offered that chance.

With the Nets still missing Kyrie Irving and Joe Harris, the team was also missing James Harden, LaMarcus Aldridge, Paul Millsap, and others. However, they were able to build a 20-point lead and while the Sixers cut into it in a big way and ended up tying it, the Nets were still able to come away with a 114-105 win and send Philadelphia to a third consecutive loss. Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin made big shots down the stretch for Brooklyn.

Joel Embiid led the Sixers with 32 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, Seth Curry had 29 points, and Tobias Harris had 11 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Shake Milton also added 13 points and six rebounds filling in for Tyrese Maxey.
