Sixers guard Shake Milton listed as doubtful for game vs. Trail Blazers

Philadelphia 76ers guard Shake Milton is doubtful for Thursday’s matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Philadelphia 76ers guard Shake Milton took a bit of a tumble late in the team’s win over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday where coach Doc Rivers believed that he was fine. On the team’s off day at the beginning of their 4-game western road trip, it looks like it is bothering him.

Milton is officially listed as doubtful for Thursday’s matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers on the second game of the trip. He took a hard fall driving to the basket and he was grabbing at his ankle and he has since been diagnosed with a left ankle sprain after he scored five points in the fourth quarter on his way to 11 in the game.

If Milton can’t go, that opens the door for rookie Tyrese Maxey to get back on the floor. He has not seen much time since the team’s regulars returned to the roster, but with Milton dealing with his own issues, Maxey looks like he will get another opportunity.
