Sixers forward Glenn Robinson III out vs. Raptors with hip injury

Philadelphia 76ers forward Glenn Robinson III will miss Wednesday’s game with the Toronto Raptors.

The Philadelphia 76ers are getting set to take on the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night inside the bubble in Orlando and they will be a more whole with the return of Joel Embiid.

However, they will be missing another key piece of their team with Glenn Robinson III headed back to the sideline as the left hip pointer issue he suffered in their second scrimmage game has flared up. He did miss the first four games of the restart before playing in their last two games and he will now miss Wednesday’s contest. He will receive treatment and then be re-evaluated on Thursday.

He did score 15 points and knock down three shots from deep against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. Philadelphia needs him healthy for the playoffs so this could be just another case of precaution much like how they are doing with Alec Burks.

Tipoff with the Raptors is set for 6:30 p.m. EST. [lawrence-related id=36742,36738,36735]
