Sixers 2020 NBA mock draft: shooter Tyrell Terry pops up again at 21

Stanford shooter Tyrell Terry has been mocked to the Philadelphia 76ers at 21 in the 2020 NBA draft.

The Philadelphia 76ers are sort of a mysterious team heading into the 2020 NBA draft. They have five picks, including one in the first round, but they also have Daryl Morey now running their basketball operations and he is a guy who will most likely use one of those picks in a trade.

However, if he does decide to utilize those picks, especially the pick at 21 via the Oklahoma City Thunder, there are some options for him and general manager Elton Brand to look at.

Obviously, the team needs some shooting, they need a ball-handler, and they also need somebody who can create for himself and others. There is a guy who fits those needs at 21 and he already has done a draft interview with the team and that guy is Tyrell Terry.

In a recent mock draft performed by Bleacher Report, they have the Sixers selecting Terry at 21:

Receiving looks in the teens, Terry also has teams in the 20s hoping he falls. We’ve heard the Sixers are interested in Terry, who’d give them another ball-handler, as well as a shooter capable of firing from deep in transition and off screens.

Terry is a guy who played both guard positions at Stanford and he is a guy who can shoot the lights out from deep at 40.8% in his freshman season. He can handle the ball which would allow Philadelphia to move Ben Simmons off the ball if Doc Rivers chooses to, he can get to the basket, and he is a solid defender. There is a lot that he brings to this team and if he is there at 21, the Sixers cannot let him get past them. [lawrence-related id=38853,38850,38843]
