Simone Biles to her haters: ‘I can’t hear you over my 7 Olympic medals’

There are levels. Simone Biles is reminding everyone of that.

Sheeeeesh, man. Simone Biles would like to have a word with everyone who took their time to hate on her this summer.

Biles caught the ire of a lot of critiques during the Olympics when she pulled herself out of competition at the Games. She was fighting a case of the twisties, which are extremely dangerous and could potentially be life-threatening for gymnasts. Which is exactly why she pulled herself from the competition.

Yet, still, people acted as if Biles had done something wrong by looking out for her own best interest and protecting her mental health. And through all of that, she still managed to break Olympic records.

Now, Biles is finally addressing all the critics she saw through the summer. She took a bit of time to reflect after a month of being away from the Games. And in that reflection, she had a simple message for her critics: “I can’t hear you over my 7 Olympic medals.”

“I’m proud of myself and the career I’ve had thus far. This Olympics doesn’t erase the past accomplishments i’ve achieved nor does it define who I am as an athlete. I’ve pushed through so so much the past couple years, the word quitter is not in my vocabulary.”

Really, really well said. After that, she just flexed on everyone about how she is now the most decorated gymnast in the history of the sport which…yeah, flex that as much as possible.

Biles had a rough Olympics, but it’s all relative. She’s still the greatest gymnast we’ve ever seen and one of the greatest athletes ever — period. There are levels to all of this. She’s on the highest one.

And this post was just her reminding everyone of that.
