The New York Giants offense has been mistake-prone and snake-bit the past few years. Even with stars such as running back Saquon Barkley, tight end Evan Engram, and wide receivers Sterling Shepard and Golden Tate, the Giants’ offense has been less than impressive.
In fact, they’ve been largely ineffective. That could all be about to change under new offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, says former Giants Pro Bowl center Shaun O’Hara. And it all begins with continuity on the offensive line.

“What’s Jason Garret going to do?” said O’Hara, “Smartly, he brought along Marc Colombo, who was his offensive line coach down in Dallas. He’s got another guy to instill this and show them how to block it.”
Garrett will not stand for the mental errors and the errors of commission the offense committed under Pat Shurmur and Mike Shula the past few seasons. Players missing assignments or blocks and not completing their routes will no longer be tolerated.
Neither will the rash of miscues partially created by quarterback Daniel Jones, who led the NFL in lost fumbles last season.
“The accountability on offense is going to be through the roof,” O’Hara said. “His No. 1 job is to help Daniel Jones progress. Having a coach like Jason Garrett, a former quarterback, sees the game the way you see it, breaks down defenses, understands how to attack them, that’s going to pay dividends for Daniel Jones and this entire offense.”
