[autotag]Shane van Gisbergen[/autotag] signed a developmental deal with Trackhouse Racing for the 2024 season, which features a full-time ride with Kaulig Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Additionally, van Gisbergen was announced to compete in seven races for Kaulig Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series. Now, the Xfinity Series driver has another Cup Series race on deck.
SafetyCulture announced that it will sponsor van Gisbergen in three Xfinity Series races and one Cup Series race. However, the one Cup Series race is at Daytona International Speedway in August, which was not initially on van Gisbergen’s schedule. This means he will have eight races in the Cup Series, including three superspeedway events.
This will be good experience for the New Zealand-born driver, who hasn’t competed on many oval tracks at this point in his career. The 2024 NASCAR season will be a learning experience for van Gisbergen, and competing at the top level is essential. It will be interesting to see if van Gisbergen can repeat his victory from the 2023 season in the Cup Series.
