During a Wednesday press conference ahead of the weekend in Indianapolis, Gisbergen said nothing has been signed in NASCAR for the 2024 season and he wants to make sure his Supercars Championship team is happy with his replacement.
This indicates that Gisbergen is planning on a move to America to pursue his new dream of being a NASCAR driver. No one could have expected this situation before the weekend in Chicago but one victory with PROJECT 91 has significantly changed his thought process.
