Several former Longhorns sign with the Denver Broncos this offseason

You might as well call them the Denver Longhorns at this point.

Several former Longhorns will be reuniting in Denver soon.

Over the last week, four former Texas players signed deals with the Broncos. Safety Brandon Jones, defensive lineman Malcolm Roach and wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey found new homes in Denver while safety PJ Locke re-signed a new contract with the Broncos.

On top of that, the group joins former Longhorns safety Caden Sterns on Denver’s roster. Sterns, Locke and Jones are expected to compete for the two starting safety roles for the Broncos in 2024.

Jones was the most high profile signing of the group, inking a three-year deal worth up to $22.5 million. The former Miami Dolphins safety should slide into the starting role in Denver that was vacated by Justin Simmons’ release.

Roach, one of the leagues best run-stoppers, signed with the Broncos on a two-year deal worth up to $8 million.
