See the Washington Football Team’s new updated uniforms

They look good but this isn’t the most creative name.

The Washington NFL team is working on a rebrand after announcing it will move on from its old team name, but for now, Daniel Snyder’s team will use a temporary name and uniforms while it deliberates on a new brand.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Thursday that the Washington football team will officially rename itself... the Washington Football Team? Uh, yup. That’s right. The team will start the 2020 season, at least, as the Washington Football Team, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

No, it’s not the most creative name but it’s definitely the most accurate in the NFL! That’s a plus. Their uniforms are also pretty slick.

They’re keeping their burgundy and gold colors for now and instead of using a team logo on the helmet, they’re using the number of each player. Basically, they’re the Washington Burgundy Tide.

We’ve already got some player photoshops in uniform to look at, too.

Still, even with a pretty solid new look, plenty of people had jokes for the new name.

Dez Bryant said the new name made him sad.

This isn’t the end, though. The team is still coming up with a new name but will seek more feedback from the community before going in a certain direction.

That’s probably smart. Rebrands take time to go through. Until they finish it up, though? They’re catching these jokes.
