Ahead of Super Bowl 56 between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium, country singer Mickey Guyton kicked things off with a stunning performance of the national anthem.
For those unfamiliar with her work, Guyton was the first Black woman ever to receive a Grammy nomination for best solo country performance in 2021 after really exploding onto the scene a year prior. She recently sang the national anthem at the 2021 National Memorial Day Concert in Washington DC.
Guyton’s performance of the national anthem on Sunday clocked in at one minute and 50 seconds, comfortably hitting the over!
