Sean McDermott feeling ‘grateful’ heading into 100th game as Bills coach

A milestone:

Bills head coach Sean McDermott has reached a milestone only one other person has ever achieved in franchise history.

When his team takes the field against the Commanders at FedEx Field in Week 3, it will the 100th time he’s on the Bills sideline calling the shots.

McDermott joins Marv Levy (182) as the only coach in franchise history to hit triple digits.

Hired back in 2017, ironically enough, McDermott’s milestone comes against Ron Rivera. Prior to being named the Commanders head coach, Rivera held that position with the Panthers. Before joining the Bills, McDermott was the Panthers’ defensive coordinator working under Rivera.

“I’m grateful, I really am. When you get a job, you’re never really sure how long it’s going to last,” McDermott said.
