The Seattle Seahawks will finally be able to spend a little time on the field as the team enters the third week of training camp and advances on from the strength and conditioning phase.
Nate Davis of the USA TODAY just released his latest NFL power rankings – training camp edition – and the Seahawks have climbed three spots up to No. 12. But for Davis, the jump isn’t based on what Seattle has done in practice, but it’s the move executed just beforehand that gave the Seahawks the nudge.
“They paid top dollar for S Jamal Adams,” Davis Writes. “But an atypically weak Seattle defense needed a boost … and this team doesn’t draft well in Round 1 anyway.”
With #NFL training camps now well underway, seemed the right time for some August power rankings. I'm feeling you, Steel City: https://t.co/2xEe8Rj2Cf

Not exactly high praise from Davis, however, the trade was enough to move Seattle up from No. 15 to No. 12 in the rankings as teams inch closer to the start of the season.
Adams – and Quinton Dunbar, for that matter – have the means to make a real impact for the Seahawks in 2020, something Seattle’s defense desperately needs.
