The Seattle Seahawks took care of business with their 34-14 win over the Atlanta Falcons, and a key reason why was because of star wide receiver DK Metcalf.
On the day, Metcalf hauled in four receptions to lead the team with 99 yards, and had a crucial touchdown right before half. Unfortunately, Metcalf did have to leave the game late, when the outcome was already determined, with a knee injury. After the game, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald gave a quick update on his top receiver.
Mike Macdonald said DK Metcalf “banged his knee a little bit.” Said they’re optimistic, “it doesn’t look too bad.” pic.twitter.com/pMrUNUhGrG

The fact when Metcalf left he was only designated as QUESTIONABLE seems to suggest Macdonald’s optimism is not misplaced. Metcalf is a large, strong, durable player. Personally, I would be a little surprised if he was not in the lineup next week against the Bills.
Macdonald did offer up additional positive injury news. Right tackle George Fant is eligible to return from the injured reserve list. Macdonald offered optimism that perhaps Fant could return to practice this week. Although Michael Jerrell performed admirably in Week 7 against the Falcons, getting Fant means better depth at the position.
Seahawks Wire will continue to update on these two players as the week progresses.
