Scouting Report: four-star LB Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa

Sunday is the big day for KVA.

Four-star linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa is set to announce his decision Sunday on the 247Sports YouTube channel.

The Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco star cut his list of schools to three last month with Notre Dame, Ohio State and USC making the final cut.

Viliamu-Asa officially visited each of his final three choices in June. He went to USC first and then went to Notre Dame and Ohio State in back-to-back weeks.

Notable details on Kyngstonn: He is a smart, instinctive, physical linebacker who will produce consistently as a tackler. His biggest strengths are his mind, tackling ability, and mobility. He moves well laterally with great speed and is a flexible defender, which allows him to contort his body and make difficult tackles.

His leadership abilities are clear. He is a great communicator who takes control of a defense and gets his teammates into the correct position where everyone can do their job.

If he uses his physicality with the mindset of dominating his competition, he’s a guy who can come in and start right away at the linebacker position for the Trojans in 2024.
