There’s a funny thing about supposed birthrights and entitlements in college football — everything is earned, nothing is given.
We’ve seen a lot of cope starting in late November 2021, when Michigan football upset Ohio State for the first time in a decade. It continued when the Wolverines’ won again in 2022. With Jim Harbaugh sidelined and the maize and blue under fire amid illegal sign-stealing allegations, 2023 should have been vindication for the Buckeyes.
But it wasn’t.
In the previous 48 hours, Ohio State fan sites have had time to digest reality: Even without Jim Harbaugh or Connor Stalions, Michigan is just better at the moment. Some have accepted it, others are in denial, some are still in the bargaining stage.
