Saddiq Bey sets Pistons all-time rookie 3-point record for a season

Bey on Tuesday produced his fourth game of the season with at least six 3-pointers for the Pistons.

On Tuesday, Saddiq Bey etched his name into the Detroit Pistons record books after another hot-shooting night from beyond the arc in a loss to the Denver Nuggets.

Bey produced 25 points and one assist in 24 minutes of work during the 134-119 loss on the road. He converted on 9-of-15 shots from the field, including 6-of-12 from 3-point range for his fourth game of the season with at least six triples, which is tied for the most by a rookie in history.

With his first triple of the contest, Bey hit his 106th 3-pointer of the season, which passed Brandon Knight for the most all-time in a single season by a Pistons rookie. Bey and Knight are the only two rookies in team history to surpass 100 3s in a season.

Of course, Bey became the first rookie this season to hit 100 3-pointers and currently leads the class following his performance on Tuesday. On the season, he is converting on 38.1% from 3-point range and his 111 3-pointers are tied for 32nd among all players.

Overall, the performance by Bey was one of a few highlights from the game as the Pistons trailed by as many as 28 points in the contest. While the team will certainly be disappointed in the loss, Bey now finds himself among some solid company in Pistons history.
