Ohio State won in a relatively easy fashion Saturday night against Rutgers. The way the second half played out though won’t leave anyone on the Scarlet and Gray sidelines feeling good about the way things ended.
Justin Fields was still Justin Fields, the defense showed some dominating play in the first half, and the offensive weapons were on full display. However, the Scarlet Knights unleashed an onslaught of trick plays in the last thirty minutes that created some confusion, lack of discipline, and kept OSU on its heels.
Buckeye head coach Ryan Day met with the media on a Zoom call after the game to discuss what he saw and we’ve got all the comments for you thanks to the YouTube channel of WBNS 10TV below.
Watch and listen as Day discusses the tale of two halves, Justin Fields’ high level of play, the need to stay focused and disciplined, and much more.
Next up for Ohio State is a trip to Maryland Saturday. Time to improve, learn, and move forward.
