We’ve already seen several other coaches come out and ask you to wear a mask amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, but now we’ve seen arguably the face of Ohio State athletics come out and implore to do the same thing.
OSU football coach Ryan Day posted a video on Twitter Thursday asking Buckeye Nation to wear a mask to help mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus.
“Hey Buckeye Nation, as you know, we are in a very serious situation right now with the pandemic that’s going on across the country, in Ohio, and in Columbus,” said Day. So, we are really asking everyone to please follow your local authorities with the protocol and the guidelines that they’ve set forth. And one of the biggest ways to do that is by wearing a mask. So please join our team, join our staff, and the whole program in wearing a mask to protect each other so we can all be together again in the fall.”
You can see Day’s complete message below, and then watch him cap it off by putting on a rather stylish mask to end the video.

Being able to see football again is one thing, but keeping each other healthy by following the studies that show that wearing a mask can definitely help spread the COVID-19 pandemic is even more important.
