Rookie Wire Power Rankings: Coby White stays red-hot for the Bulls

Rookie Wire takes a look at the top rookies through the latest week of the 2019-20 NBA season.

4. Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies

Stats: 17.6 points, 6.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds

Last Rank: 3

While Morant fell to his lowest ranking of the season, his drop says more about his peers ahead of him than it does his actual play. Morant has continued to play like the Rookie of the Year and has turned in back-to-back 20-point efforts for the Grizzlies. Morant is posting nearly 18 points over his last eight games while he is shooting 44.8% from 3-point range over that span. He nearly led the Grizzlies back late on Tuesday against the Orlando Magic after scoring or assisting on several possessions in a row. With the Grizz in a battle for the playoffs, Morant will need to continue to lead his team with a tough schedule ahead.
