Update: Stanley has officially been ruled out for the rest of this game, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

One of the things that absolutely couldn’t happen in this game might have just happened. In the first quarter, left tackle Ronnie Stanley appeared to be rolled up on and suffered an apparent leg injury. He was seen on the broadcast hitting the ground as he writhed in pain on the Ravens’ logo at midfield. Stanley was eventually carted off the field in an air cast. He’s been replaced by D.J. Fluker.

Stanley is Baltimore’s best offensive lineman and just signed a massive contract extension that made him the second-highest-paid tackle in the game. He’s the seventh-highest graded tackle, according to Pro Football Focus, and has yet to allow a sack this season.

The injury comes just a few plays after rookie right guard Tyre Phillips went down with an ankle injury of his own.

The entire Ravens team came out on the field to console Stanley in a moment of unity.
