A lot can happen in two years. Don’t believe me? Just look to the LSU Tigers football program as an example.
In 2019 the Bayou Bengals had one of the most historic runs in college football history. Led by Joe Burrow, the Tigers finished the season a perfect 15-0, winning the College Football Playoff National Championship. During that magical season for the Tigers, they were able to beat the Tide in Tuscaloosa 46-41.
Since hoisting the championship trophy in January of 2020, the LSU Tigers have a modest 9-9 overall record. With the on-field performance coupled with the off-the-field issues, LSU has decided to part ways with head coach Ed Orgeron following the 2021 season. Life truly comes at you fast.
Come Saturday it will have been 728 days since LSU defeated the Tide in Tuscaloosa. I don’t expect the same result this time around.

This is a game Alabama fans have had circled on their schedule for quite a while now. The last time the Tigers strolled into Tuscaloosa back in 2019, they had Joe Burrow, Coach O was at his peak and LSU went on to win it all. This time around, LSU is in the bottom half of the SEC, Ed Orgeron is counting down the days until he is officially no longer the head coach and Alabama is hungry for statement wins while vying for a spot in the College Football Playoffs.
Alabama 56, LSU 13

Alabama fans and players alike remember what happened two years ago in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Not only did LSU beat the Tide, but Coach O displayed poor sportsmanship in the winning effort. Nick Saban and the Tide will reclaim its home field and in rather easy fashion I might add.
Alabama 52, LSU 14
Layne Gerbig
This isn’t your typical LSU team. With Ed Orgeron on the way out and several injuries to the Tigers ranks, this game will not be as close as it has in years past.
Alabama 48, LSU 17
You can watch Alabama and Tennessee face off on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. CDT on ESPN.
