According to reports from Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Matt Norlander of CBS Sports, Wisconsin basketball will be participating in a unique doubleheader this coming season.
Wisconsin men’s and women’s basketball will be playing matchups at American Family Field in Milwaukee, the home of the Brewers. College basketball has not been played in a baseball stadium since back in 2015.
The Wisconsin men’s squad will take on Stanford, while the women’s team will meet Kansas State in the event. Over its 20+ years in existence, American Family Field has never hosted a basketball game. The games will take place on November 11 in an early-season test for both Wisconsin programs.
News: Sources tell @CBSSports the @Brewers’ ballpark has finalized plans to host a MBB+WBB doubleheader on Veterans Day. Wisconsin-Stanford, Wisconsin-K-State.
They’ll be the first CBB games played on a baseball diamond since 2015.
Let’s play two.
