If there is one current complaint about [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag] recruiting, it’s on the defensive side of the ball.
What head coach [autotag]Ryan Day[/autotag] has done amassing talent on the offensive side of the ball has been spectacular, but the same success can’t be said about the defense.
Day is trying to correct that in the 2024 cycle, and so far so good. The Buckeyes already have two commits from top 200 players with athlete Garrett Stover and linebacker Payton Pierce. The only two defensive commits are a good start, with more high-end talent potentially on the way.

One of those targets is Louisiana defensive tackle, [autotag]Dominick McKinley[/autotag], who according to a report by 247Sports Bill Kurelic, has scheduled an official visit to Columbus on the first weekend of June.

The Buckeyes offered the No. 30 overall player according to the 247Sports composite in February, and with the visit on tap should be looked at as a major contender for McKinley’s commitment.
