Report: Lou Williams told NBA he was indeed at Magic City club in Atlanta

ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne reports the Clippers guard told the NBA that he was indeed at the famed Atlanta strip club while out of the bubble.

The status of Los Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams for the season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers could be in doubt. The NBA is investigating the circumstances of Williams’ departure from the bubble, including photos that surfaced earlier this week posted by rapper Jack Harlow, in a mask, with Williams in an undisclosed location. And it turns out that during his excused absence from the NBA bubble, Williams was in fact at the famed Magic City strip club in Atlanta, according to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.

Shelburne reported late on Saturday night that Williams admitted to the NBA that he did go to the famed Atlanta strip club while in his hometown for a family funeral.

Last night on Twitter, Williams tried to play down the photo that was leaked to social media by suggesting that Magic City is his favorite place to eat in Atlanta, as they are known famously for their lemon pepper wings.

Despite Williams’ reasoning, the leaks on the internet aren’t helping his case and it will ultimately be up to the NBA how long he will be required to quarantine after arriving back at Disney World. As of now, it’s possible that Williams won’t be able to play in next Thursday’s opening-night battle against LeBron James and the Lakers.
