Per a report from Zach Klein of WSB-TV, former Georgia wide receiver Lawrence Cager has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the New York Jets.
Had it not been for a series of injuries to his ribs, shoulder and eventually his ankle, I think Cager is a guy who could have been a fourth or fifth round pick in the NFL Draft.
All he did while at Georgia in 2019 was make big plays. Playing through injuries, Cager recorded 33 catches for 476 yards and four touchdowns before going down with a broken ankle.
Cager came to Georgia as a graduate transfer from Miami.
