The #Titans and RB Derrick Henry are reaching a long-term deal in advance of the deadline, sources say. The winner of the NFL’s rushing title gets paid.

This is a big change from yesterday and earlier today when it was being reported that he wasn’t expected to sign long term before the deadline and the offer was for two years worth double the tag.
Henry was slated to make about $10.3M in 2020 under the tag.
Titans and Derrick Henry are not expected to reach a long-term deal by Wednesday deadline for franchise players, per source. Henry is scheduled to make $10.27M this season and become a free agent in off-season.
Any franchise deals by Wednesday will be an exception, not the rule.

But now, it looks like the Titans may have Henry around for at least a few more seasons.
Last season, Henry led the NFL with a career-best 1,540 rushing yards on 303 carries, and he was the only running back in the NFL to average more than 100 rushing yards per game last season.
