Special teams: B+
The special teams unit had their best performance on Sunday, starting with kicker Stephen Hauschka. Hauschka converted all three of his field goals, keeping the Bills in the game in the early portions while the offense struggled to get into the end zone.
Punter Corey Bojorquez punted seven times, averaging 42.9 yards per punt. He did a good job of making the punts non-returnable for the Ravens, trying his best to win the field position battle.
Coaching: B-
Head coach Sean McDermott and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier had the defense prepared for Lamar Jackson and Mark Ingram. It was Brian Daboll who wasn’t prepared for the ferocity of the Baltimore front-seven.
Daboll didn’t make the proper adjustments throughout the game, and called a poor game. Josh Allen threw the ball 39 times on day when he was notably struggling, and rookie running back Devin Singletary was making plays on the ground.
It should be mentioned that McDermott also had some questionable clock-management moments in this one. Those included a timeout at the end of the half, plus taking a timeout during the game’s final drive instead of keep all three for a potential defensive stand, but it can be argued that the Bills thought that was their final chance.
