(Update: 4:08 p.m.): Bills fear Matt Milano is out for remainder of season due to knee injury, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Previous coverage:
The Buffalo Bills look set to be down one of their best defenders for the foreseeable future.
In Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2), the Bills lost 25-20 and linebacker Matt Milano left the contest due to a knee injury. It is reportedly significant.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bills (3-2) are expecting Milano to be out indefinitely.
The defender was carted off the Bills sideline at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after he struggled to walk off the field himself and needed assistance. His leg was in an air cast as well.
Milano went down in a pile of players and was awkwardly rolled up on.
A 2022 All-Pro selection, Milano signed an extension in Buffalo this offseason.
Following the loss, head coach Sean McDermott said the injuries to Milano and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (pectoral) both were “not looking good.”
Aside from that, there were not further updates for the Bills’ injury situation just yet.
It’s likely that those updates will come early this upcoming week depending on the team’s travel schedule back from London.
Bills Wire will provide updates as information is made available.
