REPORT: Alabama OC Bill O’Brien will interview for Jacksonville Jaguars HC job

Bill O’Brien may be returning to the NFL ranks.

Alabama offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien is in his first year with the Crimson Tide, but it may already be his last. After spending some time in the NFL as the Houston Texans head coach, O’Brien left the league with his final season being met with lots of criticism.

His job at Alabama is not yet finished, though he has produced an impressive resume, which features a Heisman-winning quarterback. He still has at least one more game to coach: the national championship game against Georgia.

Today, it has been reported that O’Brien will be interviewing for the Jacksonville Jaguars head coaching position, a job once held by Urban Meyer for a few weeks to open the 2021 NFL season.

It was originally reported on by John Reid, the Jaguars beat reporter for the Florida Times Union.
