The number of penalties significantly decreases

One of the main reasons Texas lost at home to TCU was the number of penalties committed. The Longhorns had 12 penalties for a total of 92 yards. Less than two minutes into the game and 283 yards had been negated by fouls.
There’s 1:47 seconds in the 1st quarter of the #Texas Football game and Texas has had 283 yards of plays called back!! 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️

Even against Texas Tech, 10 penalties for 100 yards cost Texas. Going into a rivalry game against Oklahoma, mental errors must be held to a minimum and Tom Herman is responsible for that.
Going penalty-free is almost unrealistic. What will kill the Longhorns is minor things to bring back potentially momentum-changing plays. Ineligible men downfield and illegal formation type penalties killed Texas against TCU.
Herman needs to have the squad focused and as close to mistake-free as you can be to pull out a win against Oklahoma.
