We’ve got another Ohio State newcomer that lost his black stripe on Tuesday to become an “official” Buckeye.
Jayden Ballard came to OSU as a 4-star prospect out of Massillon, Ohio. He was ranked as the No. 15 wide receiver and 99th overall recruit in the 2021 class. He’s been working hard, and now he has been welcomed into the brotherhood as a member of Zone 6.
Ballard said a few words in a short ceremony in front of the team on Tuesday.
“I just want to thank all y’all for pushing me every day, and I appreciate all of y’all,” said Ballard. I want to shoutout to Zone 6 — Go Bucks!”

Ballard won’t likely factor into the game plans too much in meaningful situations in 2021, but he’s got the skill set to be a big part of the plans in the not-too-distant future.
