Reacting to Devin Vassell, Jeremy Sochan out for the remainder of the Spurs season

Will they cycle through some G League players to try to find cheap depth? Or go entirely in the other direction and shut down Wemby instead?

How will the San Antonio Spurs approach the end of their 2023-24 regular season schedule now that the team’s front office has elected to shut down forwards Devin Vassell and Jeremy Sochan for the rest of the campaign?

Will they cycle through some G League players to try to find some cheap depth? Or go entirely in the other direction and shut down star French rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama instead to keep him healthy for a season in which the Spurs have a roster capable of making some noise behind them? A possible alternative to split the difference with a reduction in Wemby’s minutes instead of icing him for 2023-24 could also be selected as a potential direction for the Spurs to take.

To talk it over, the host of the “Locked On Spurs” podcast, Jeff Garcia, linked up with KENS 5’s Vinnie Vinzetta on a recent episode of his show.
