Ravens vs. Giants injury report: Two steps forward, one step back on Thursday

The Baltimore Ravens got several players back at practice Thursday but those that were still out on the injury report are concerning.

I won’t quite go as far as to say the Baltimore Ravens are getting a little healthier as Week 16 marches on but they did get several players back at practice. A day after having nine players held out of practice with injuries on Wednesday, only three were out with injuries on Thursday.

Unfortunately, that’s about where the silver lining ends. Cornerbacks Jimmy Smith and Marcus Peters once again missed practice Thursday, while also missing last week’s game with the same ailments. At this point, it doesn’t look good for either to play Sunday.

In addition to those two, wide receiver Marquise Brown was added to the injury report, missing Thursday’s practice with a knee injury. Though Dez Bryant returned in a limited capacity after missing practice Wednesday, the Ravens’ wide receiver corps isn’t exactly teeming with excess talent. If neither play this week, missing two major contributors in the passing game is going to sting a little bit.

Take a look at both the Ravens’ and New York Giants’ injury reports for Thursday.
