Ravens injuries: Nick Boyle carted off field with knee injury vs. Patriots

The Baltimore Ravens aren’t looking great against the New England Patriots but a serious-looking injury to TE Nick Boyle might hurt more.

The Baltimore Ravens aren’t looking great against the New England Patriots but things can seemingly always get worse. Baltimore was already thin at a number of positions coming into this game due to injuries but have seen a handful of other players go down with new ones tonight.

The latest was tight end Nick Boyle, who was carted off the field and ruled out with a knee injury after taking a vicious hit on a four-yard reception in the third quarter. The whistle hadn’t even been blown yet and Patriots players were waving over to Baltimore’s sideline to get the trainers out on the field. Though we’ll hear more about the injury from coach John Harbaugh following the game, it looks to be a serious one for Boyle.

The Ravens traded Hayden Hurst to the Atlanta Falcons this offseason, leaving them with just two tight ends this season. The lack of three tight ends has been a problem for Baltimore this year, seeing them struggle to find the type of offensive consistency they had in 2019 in part because of it. But with Boyle likely missing extended time with that injury, the Ravens are in serious trouble at the position.
