Ravens announce two roster moves on Tuesday

The Baltimore Ravens made two roster moves on Tuesday

The Baltimore Ravens are preparing to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night in Week 17.  The team looks to bring the winning streak to two, while eliminating the Steelers from playoff contention and giving Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin his first-ever losing season in the Steelers organization.

In the first of many moves before the game on Sunday, the Ravens announced that they have released defensive tackle Isaiah Mack. The team also announced that they signed inside linebacker Josh Bynes to their practice squad just a few days after releasing him from the active roster.

Mack was signed to the 53-man roster before Week 16 against the Atlanta Falcons.  Before that, he was called up for Thursday Night Football in Week 8 in Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers. He was a training camp and preseason standout for the team, and has made an impact when on the field.

Bynes will provide a steady presence to the practice squad, as his spot on the roster wasn’t as needed with the acquisition of inside linebacker Roquan Smith. He could be called up to the active roster on game days if needed, especially if Baltimore suffers an injury at the position.
