The New Orleans Saints are off to a hot start against the Dallas Cowboys, as Rashid Shaheed caught a career-long 70-yard touchdown grab in the first quarter. His next longest play was a 68-yard reception in his rookie year.

Sunday’s play was immensely impressive, as he was in the middle of two defenders when the ball was thrown, however, he and Derek Carr were on the same wavelength as Shaheed pulled away from both defenders, caught the ball in stride, and ran away for a touchdown.

This touchdown made 11-straight scoring drives for the Saints with Derek Carr at QB per Nola.com’s Rod Walker. Shaheed has always been fast and we all know it, but having the ability to pull away from the deep safety on straight-line speed alone is absolutely outstanding work and a special talent that the Saints love to utilize, as he had an early touchdown grab last week over the top as well for 59 yards.
