When watching Jamie Newman, there is a theme that stands out almost immediately: he’s really good against poor competition and, for the most part, pretty mediocre against good completion.

But to be fair to the Wake Forest grad transfer, he’ll be surrounded by way more talent in Athens — even with D’Andre Swift, Andrew Thomas, Isaiah Wilson and several other key members of the offense gone.

The biggest help for Newman could come from new offensive coordinator Todd Monken, who should bring a much more exciting style than James Coley.
