Ranking Texas’ 2020 schedule by game winnability

This season will be a make or break season for Tom Herman. Needing to make it to the conference championship, UT must navigate the Big 12.

What poses difficulty

Matt Campbell should have one of the top offenses in the Big 12 this season. Quarterback Brock Purdy nearly threw for 4,000 yards last season, leading the conference. Breece Hall is poised to have a breakout sophomore season at running back. The Cyclones are going to be up there offensively with the top teams in the Big 12.

How Texas wins

Last season against Iowa State, slow offensive rhythm and mental mistakes killed the Longhorns. With new offensive coordinator Mike Yurich calling plays now, the offense should be upbeat, efficient, and not as predictable. Playing at home does not hurt either. The second to last game of the season, Texas will be buckling in for a tough end to the season.
