Ranking Texas’ 2020 schedule by game winnability

This season will be a make or break season for Tom Herman. Needing to make it to the conference championship, UT must navigate the Big 12.

What poses difficulty

For some reason, since TCU joined the Big 12 in 2012, the Horned Frogs have had Texas number. Head coach Gary Patterson is a career 6-3 against the Longhorns. TCU should be improving in 2020, especially with five-star running back Zach Evans joining the program. It is unlike Patterson to have multiple seasons without success.

How Texas wins

Texas’ most disappointing loss of the 2019 season was in Fort Worth. Sam Ehlinger played his worst game of the season, throwing four interceptions. Revenge will be on the mind of the Longhorns, needing a win to kick off the final quarter of the season. If Ehlinger can play like his normal self, Texas will be winners against TCU in November.
