Ranking Texas’ 2020 schedule by game winnability

This season will be a make or break season for Tom Herman. Needing to make it to the conference championship, UT must navigate the Big 12.

What poses difficulty

Kansas has only beaten Texas three times in their history and once since the Big 12’s creation in 1996. Despite some momentum under Les Miles, the Jayhawk program does have a long way to go. A last-second Cameron Dicker field goal was needed to win in 2019, proving Kansas’ potential.

How Texas wins

Despite Kansas’ near-win last season, Texas is still clearly the better team than the Jayhawks. It was the week after the Red River Shootout, a hangover game no matter who the opponent is. The Longhorns play the Jayhawks the first weekend November this season, a point of the season where they should be hitting their stride towards a Big 12 championship.
