Rams-49ers injury report: Whitworth and Jones to play, Jefferson and Rapp questionable

Andrew Whitworth and Ernest Jones will play against the 49ers on Sunday, but Van Jefferson and Taylor Rapp are both questionable.

There’s good news and bad news on the injury front for the Los Angeles Rams this week. The good news is that both Andrew Whitworth and Ernest Jones will be back on the field. The bad news is that Van Jefferson and Taylor Rapp are both questionable, and Joe Noteboom is doubtful to play.

Whitworth missed the divisional round with a knee injury suffered against the Cardinals in the wild-card round. Jones has been out since injuring his ankle in Week 16, which landed him on IR.

Jefferson banged up his knee against the Buccaneers on Sunday and was limited in practice as a result. Rapp suffered a concussion in the season finale, causing him to miss the last two games.

If Jefferson can’t play, Ben Skowronek will need to step up at wide receiver. The same goes for Terrell Burgess, Nick Scott and Eric Weddle at safety if Rapp remains out with a concussion.

The full injury report for both the Rams and 49ers will be included here once it is made available by the teams on Friday.
