Rams announce jersey numbers for 2023 rookies

The Rams revealed jersey numbers for all 14 of their draft rookies, which signal a few changes for current veterans, too.

It’s always exciting to see which jersey numbers new players on the Los Angeles Rams will wear. With 14 drafted rookies, there will be a lot of unfamiliar faces on the roster but at least we now know what numbers they’ll be wearing.

On Friday, the Rams announced the jersey numbers for their 14 draft picks, beginning with Steve Avila and ending with Mr. Irrelevant, Desjuan Johnson. A lot of rookies unsurprisingly took numbers from former Rams who left this offseason, while Stetson Bennett will wear Kurt Warner’s old number.

Avila is taking David Edwards’ former number, Kobie Turner is taking Greg Gaines’, Davis Allen is wearing Jacob Harris’ old number, Puka Nacua took Robert Woods’ No. 17 from a few years ago and Johnson is rocking A’Shawn Robinson’s No. 94.

Robert Rochell and Derion Kendrick appear to be changing their numbers to No. 8 and 1, respectively, with Nick Hampton wearing No. 31 and Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson taking No. 6. The same goes for Russ Yeast, who wore No. 21 last season.

Below is the full list of the rookies’ new jersey numbers.
