Raiders to attend Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence’s throwing session on Friday

Without a traditional NFL Combine this year, Pro Days and throwing sessions are going to be more valuable than ever. On Friday, the first college prospect to perform in front of scouts will be Trevor Lawrence, the likely No. 1 pick from the Clemson Tigers.

Lawrence will be throwing at Clemson’s facility as he is set to have surgery next week on his non-throwing shoulder. That is why he is getting this session out of the way early for all teams and scouts to see.

The Raiders will have one personnel member in attendance, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Who that is remains to be seen and this is likely just due diligence from the Raiders. It’s also worth noting that he will be throwing to some of his former teammates and it’s likely the Raiders are checking in on those receivers, as well.

Lawrence’s throwing session is set for 10 a.m Eastern Time. You can view that on NFL Network or ESPN. Keep an eye on Cornell Powell, one of the receivers that will be participating in the workout. Given how much the Raiders value players from Clemson, he could certainly be an option for the team sometime on Day 3.
